Ziptrrip Acquires HelloTravel to Expand Presence in Business and Experiential Travel

by Keerthi B Krishna

Indian travel-tech company Ziptrrip has acquired travel platform HelloTravel as part of its expansion into the fast-growing MICE and business-leisure travel segments.

The acquisition marks a strategic move for Ziptrrip, which has traditionally focused on corporate travel solutions. With the addition of HelloTravel, the company aims to strengthen its presence in leisure travel, curated travel experiences, and event-based tourism.

HelloTravel is known for its online travel marketplace that connects travellers with tour operators, travel agents and customized holiday packages across India and international destinations.

According to the company, the acquisition will help combine Ziptrrip’s corporate travel expertise with HelloTravel’s consumer travel network, allowing the platform to offer a wider range of travel services to both business and leisure travellers.

The move also reflects the growing trend of consolidation in India’s travel technology sector as companies look to expand services beyond traditional travel bookings.

India’s MICE segment — which includes meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions — has seen strong growth in recent years, driven by rising corporate travel demand, international events, and increasing business tourism across major Indian cities.

Industry experts believe the lines between business and leisure travel are also becoming increasingly blurred, with more travellers combining work trips with personal travel experiences, often referred to as “bleisure” travel.

Ziptrrip said the acquisition will help accelerate its expansion plans while enhancing customer offerings through technology-driven travel solutions and personalized travel experiences.

The financial details of the acquisition have not been publicly disclosed.

India’s travel and tourism industry has witnessed rapid digital transformation in recent years, with travel-tech firms increasingly investing in AI-powered solutions, automation, and integrated booking platforms to meet evolving traveller expectations.
